Scatter pays is a slot game mechanic where matching scatter symbols can create winnings regardless of their position on the reels. Unlike traditional paylines, scatter payouts do not require symbols to land on adjacent positions. Scatter pays features are commonly linked to free spins, bonus rounds, and special slot mechanics.
