A technical decision is a combat sports result declared when a fight is stopped early due to an accidental injury or unforeseen circumstance after a sufficient number of rounds have been completed. In this situation, the judges’ scorecards are used to determine the winner. Technical decisions are commonly used in boxing betting markets.
