Safety Car
A safety car is a vehicle used in motorsports to control the pace of a race during dangerous conditions, accidents, or track hazards. While the safety car is on track, drivers must reduce speed and overtaking is usually prohibited. Safety car periods are important in Formula 1 and other racing betting markets because they can significantly affect race strategy and outcomes.
